CHAURA / TEA SHOTS 001
Pull real tea into a concentrated shot, then finish with milk and ice. Eight teas, portioned at 6g, make café-style milk tea on the machine already on your counter.
> Real ground tea. No new brewer. No tea scale before breakfast.

FRIENDS_KITCHENS.log
Friends pulled the core tea-shot workflow on around ten different home espresso machines. That is the evidence behind our repeatability claim—not a guarantee that every basket behaves identically.
04 / OUR_STORY
We were not trying to invent another appliance. We wanted better milk tea at home, and the pressure-and-temperature platform was already on the kitchen counter.
The first experiments used whatever tea we could find on a market shelf. Grind it. Pull it. Add milk. Some cups were weak, some bitter, and too many left fine tea particles behind.
That pushed us upstream: better sourcing, controlled 6g portions, and teas selected for the concentrated format. We tasted for what survived milk—not what sounded impressive on a label.
Then the setup left our kitchen. Friends tried it on their machines, and their countertops became the first CHAURA test network.
That is why the collection begins with eight—not eighty.

05 / PEEK_INTO_THE_FUTURE
CHAURA started as a series of kitchen experiments, so we kept one piece of the lab alive. Watch the tea flow, then reveal the modern mark hiding underneath.
> This is the easter egg. The product comes first.

The short version: real tea goes in, concentrated tea comes out, milk tea happens next.
Neither. Each shot is real ground tea, pre-portioned at 6g for concentrated extraction in an espresso basket.
The core workflow has been repeated across around ten home espresso machines in founder-and-friends testing. You need a removable portafilter and basket; exact flow still varies by machine and basket.
Individually portioned tea shots only. Your espresso machine, portafilter, basket, milk, ice and sweetener are not included.
That is the point of the eight-tea edit. We chose profiles that stay distinct in a concentrated shot—from fresh jasmine and silky Jin Xuan to roasted oolong and round black tea.
Knock out the tea promptly, then rinse the basket and group area. Ground tea can leave fine residue, so a quick rinse after every shot is part of the routine.
